ScanForge is a QR code and barcode scanner and generator app. It lets you:
ScanForge uses Firebase Analytics (by Google) to collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics — such as which screens are visited and which features are used. This data contains no personally identifiable information, no barcode content, and no camera images. It is used solely to improve the app.
ScanForge uses Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous crash reports when the app crashes. These reports help us fix bugs and contain no personal data.
We do not collect your name, email, location, camera images, scanned content, or any other personal information. We do not sell or share data with third parties for advertising purposes.

All scan history, favorites, and settings are stored locally on your device using Android's built-in database (Room) and preferences (DataStore). This data never leaves your device.
ScanForge requires no internet connection for scanning or generation — it works fully offline. The only network traffic is the anonymous analytics and crash reports described above, sent by Firebase over HTTPS.

There are no ads, no ad SDKs, and no user tracking of any kind.
ScanForge does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The only data collected is anonymous and aggregated (Firebase Analytics/Crashlytics), which contains no personal information.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
